⭐ Exercise 1: I Accept What Changes
When a negative event occurs, it is natural to suffer. But would this suffering be the same if we were less attached to what disappears or changes?
The exercise is to identify someone or something we have lost in the past that caused us great pain.
It could be a heartbreak, the loss of a loved one, a pet, an object, a job, or something else.
We have all experienced this pain at least once in our lives.
Now that time has passed, how do we feel when we reflect on this loss? Does what once seemed insurmountable still feel that way today? What has changed?
Looking back, can we identify why we were attached to this person or thing? Was it appropriate? Was it a choice?
Today, are we attached to something or someone to the point of potentially reliving a similar situation?
I share my feelings in the Facebook group The Path to Awakening to help others.
