What is Clarity ?

Clarity (or Insight) refers to the ability to perceive the world, no longer through the eyes of the “self,” but directly through Awareness. Let us explore precisely what this entails in three steps.
1) Perception is no longer distorted by the filter of the mind:
The mind no longer creates judgments; it allows whatever arises to be perceived without interpretation.
There is no longer a “this is good / this is bad, this is fair / this is unfair, I like / I dislike,” and so on.
The mind no longer produces problems or threats; it observes what appears with serenity.
There is no longer a “I feel bad because this happens to me / What will happen next? / I fear this / I hope for that.”
The mind no longer seeks to understand; it holds a clear, immediate view of what is unfolding.
There is no longer a “This reminds me that… / This is logical because… / How is it that… / And why this?”
2) What happens is fully understood:
- When a situation arises, we perceive the prior causes from which it originates.
- We are no longer deceived by lingering illusions; we see that the world around us is empty and ever-changing.
3) Because what happens to us is fully understood, we act with wisdom:
- We do not seek to flee a situation or to exploit it.
- We avoid any action that generates negative karma.
- We let go of attachment to all that is impermanent and causes suffering—objects, concepts, people.
In short, the clarity of Awareness functions like a photograph of the present moment. Through it, we gain a complete view of what is, instantly and effortlessly.
