Back THE PATH TO AWAKENING ⭐ Exercise 3: Avoiding Emotional Contagion

⭐ Exercise 3: Avoiding Emotional Contagion

Life offers countless opportunities to practice. For example, if tomorrow we are confronted with someone who judges, criticizes, or complains, we can adopt several attitudes:

  • Play along with that person and start judging, criticizing, or complaining in turn. This is obviously the worst solution.
  • Withdraw and internally criticize that person's attitude. This is also a poor choice because we maintain a negative thought and do not escape the risk of emotional contagion.
  • Show compassion by understanding that the other is a victim of their own afflictions.

This exercise therefore consists of adopting the right attitude the next time we face this issue: in family, at work, with friends, etc.
