Perfect Timing

When we experience a spiritual opening, it can feel as if we are floating on a cloud for a time. Yet it is common, eventually, to encounter the stark reality of returning to the starting point.
Indeed, despite the opening, the law of cause and effect continues to operate relentlessly: old afflictions resurface, patterns and wounds are reactivated.
Faced with this, it is natural to think, “All that, and for this?”
It is in these moments of doubt that another trap often appears: the temptation to seek guidance from psychics, mediums, or quantum therapists.
We watch videos where online gurus claim that current energies are heavy, that we are passing through a Saturnian cycle, or that galactic beings will come to our rescue.
Yet, if we have cultivated sufficient discernment, subtle signs indicate that we are indeed on the right path, and that the “self” is beginning to loosen its grip.
Panic on Board
The most striking example is the panic attack: the person experiencing it may feel as if they are going to die, that nothing makes sense, and that everything has become empty. And in a way, this reflects the truth: the “self” is genuinely fading away; its disappearance brings a profound sense of meaninglessness, and the emptiness that arises can feel overwhelming.

Another example is the gradual withdrawal from worldly life. This can appear as a desire to step back from social outings or interactions, or a recognition of the need to slow down at work. Often, friends may distance themselves, which can reactivate old wounds—rejection, abandonment, betrayal.
In reality, what we sometimes experience as a panic attack, temporary depression, or withdrawal often signals the early stirrings of awakening.
It is a sign that the “self” is panicking because it senses itself moving to the background of experience.
Yet let us be honest: most of the time, the “self” resists and ultimately prevails. Why? Because we are not yet aware that there is something beyond it, and because the time for full awakening has not yet arrived.
