What is Awakening ?

Awakening refers to the fundamental state in which we already exist, even if we are not aware of it: a presence that is calm, stable, and clear.

Most of the time, this state is obscured by mental agitation and identification with a “self”—the belief that we are unique, separate, and isolated from one another.

Attaining this state requires no quest, no special effort.

It arises simply through the realization that we are deeply attached to the “self,” even though we are all connected by something far vaster.

Of course, returning to this simple realization is a process that can be surprisingly complex.

Why? Because we have spent our entire lives filling ourselves—with beliefs, concepts, knowledge, emotions, possessions, expectations, and distractions.

Yet awakening is veiled by all these things that seem important, even vital. If there were only one quest, it might be this: a return to nothing.

For it is in nothing that everything is revealed.
